His areas of professional interest are speech sound disorders, developmental language disorder, stuttering, literacy, and adult voice, motor speech, and accent modification. He is passionate about creating a fun and engaging therapy space where clients of all ages can feel safe, thrive, learn, and achieve their goals. When Matt is not working, he is likely either listening to a speech-language pathology podcast, spending time with his two children, or running on the East Coast Trail.

She works closely with families to design treatment plans that align with their priorities. Establishing and maintaining strong connections with families is a key component of every session. Michelle has a special interest in early communication (toddlers and preschoolers), stuttering, autism and speech sound disorders (i.e., apraxia of speech, articulation delays, phonological disorders, etc.). Katherine is thrilled to be joining the Speech Language Pathology Private Practice team. Her practice draws from a range of experiences. These include working with pediatric populations in the school setting and outpatient rehabilitation, as well as with adult populations in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation. Holding master’s degrees in speech-language pathology (Dalhousie University) and trumpet performance (University of Toronto), Katherine is uniquely positioned to support clients and families reach their communication goals. Katherine believes that transparent collaboration between the client, family, and clinician is critical to achieving success in the therapy room and beyond. She is an active member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (NLASLPA), currently serving as the treasurer of the board. Outside of the clinic, Katherine enjoys hiking, board games, playing the trumpet, and ultimate frisbee.
